Biography
South London anarcho-punk band Conflict, formed in Eltham in 1981 and led throughout by singer Colin Jerwood, defined the movement with albums such as 'It's Time to See Who's Who' (1983) and 'The Ungovernable Force' (1986), released on their own #Mortarhate Records#. Jerwood's death in May 2025 ended the band after more than four decades of activity. Bassist Paul Hoddy and drummer Francisco 'Paco' Carreno were its other long-serving members.
