Crescent

Biography

Bristol project Crescent, formed in 1994 around guitarist and singer Matt Jones, play slow, minimal post-rock with a melancholy, folk tinged core. Emerging alongside *Movietone*, with whom the Jones brothers also play, the group favoured lo-fi textures, ambient sound and space over volume. Albums from 'Now' and 'Electronic Sound Constructions' through 'By the Roads and the Fields' to 'Resin Pockets' trace a patient, unhurried catalogue built across more than two decades.
