Biography
Philadelphia-born singer-songwriter David Bromberg built his reputation in 1960s Greenwich Village, where his fingerpicking, learned from *Reverend Gary Davis*, made him a first-call sideman for *Bob Dylan* and others. His solo albums for #Columbia# and #Fantasy# blend blues, bluegrass, folk and dry wit, led by songs such as 'The Holdup', written with *George Harrison*. After years devoted to violin making, he returned to recording with 'Try Me One More Time' and the David Bromberg Band's 'Big Road', still touring as a master of American roots styles.
