Biography
David Darling was an American cellist who improvised across classical, jazz and new age music. A member of the *Paul Winter Consort* through the 1970s, he built a solo career on #ECM Records# with albums such as 'Journal October', 'Cello' and 'Dark Wood', founded the Music for People improvisation workshops, and won a Grammy for 'Prayer for Compassion'.
