Biography
Deaf Center are a Norwegian duo of Erik K. Skodvin and Otto A. Totland, formed in 2003, working between ambient, drone and modern classical music. Totland's melodic piano meets Skodvin's spectral cello and electronics across 'Pale Ravine' (2005), 'Owl Splinters' (2011), 'Recount' (2014) and 'Low Distance' (2019). The duo helped define the post-classical sound of the 2000s, though they perform live only rarely.
