Biography
Defacement, formed in Utrecht in 2019 by Forsaken Ahmed and Khalil Azagoth with drummer Mark Bestia, play dissonant blackened death metal. Their albums 'Deviant', 'Defacement', 'Duality' and 'Doomed', the last two as a quartet with guitarist Tadzio, combine blast-beaten intensity with atmospheric, meditative passages, released through labels including #Avantgarde Music#. The result is extreme metal that rewards patience as much as it punishes the unprepared listener standing nearby.
