Biography
Boston's Defeater have spent five albums telling one continuous story: a post-war working-class family on the New Jersey shore, unravelling across 'Travels' (2008), 'Empty Days & Sleepless Nights' (2011), 'Letters Home' (2013), 'Abandoned' (2015) and 'Defeater' (2019). Derek Archambault's narrative ambition, framed in melodic hardcore, has made the band a fixture of modern American hardcore since 2008, with a devoted following far beyond the hardcore scene.
