Biography
*The Beach Boys*' drummer and the group's only real surfer, whose own songwriting grew steadily from 'Little Bird' to the standard 'Forever'. His only solo album, 'Pacific Ocean Blue' (1977), was dismissed on release and is now considered a classic of 1970s California rock, its piano-led melancholy far from the band's sunshine image. Wilson drowned at Marina del Rey in 1983, aged thirty-nine.
