Biography
Dirge was a French post-metal band formed near Paris in 1994. Starting as an industrial metal duo, it grew into a full band whose slow, crushing guitars and sampled textures drew comparisons with *Neurosis* and *Isis*. The core of Marc T., Alain B., Stéphane L., Christophe 'Zomb' D. and Christian M. carried the band through 'And Shall the Sky Descend' (2004), 'Wings of Lead over Dormant Seas' (2007) and 'Elysian Magnetic Fields' (2011). Final albums 'Hyperion' (2014) and 'Lost Empyrean' (2018) appeared on #Debemur Morti Productions# before the band split in 2019.
