Biography
Donald Fagen (born 1948) is the singer, keyboardist and co-founder, with *Walter Becker*, of Steely Dan, whose albums from 'Can't Buy a Thrill' (1972) to 'Gaucho' (1980) set a standard for studio-crafted rock. His solo debut 'The Nightfly' (1982) became an audiophile touchstone, and later solo albums 'Kamakiriad' (1993), 'Morph the Cat' (2006) and 'Sunken Condos' (2012) extended his wry, jazz-inflected songwriting.
