Biography
Doves is an English alternative rock band from Manchester, formed in 1998 by Jimi Goodwin and twin brothers Jez and Andy Williams after their earlier dance project *Sub Sub* ended in a studio fire. Their atmospheric guitar music brought three UK number one albums: 'The Last Broadcast' (2002), 'Some Cities' (2005) and 'The Universal Want' (2020), following the Mercury Prize nominated debut 'Lost Souls'. Long term touring keyboardist *Martin Rebelski* supports the core trio live. A sixth album, 'Constellations for the Lonely', arrived in 2025, with the band touring again the same year.
