Biography
Drain is a Santa Cruz hardcore band formed in 2014 by Sammy Ciaramitaro and Cody Chavez. Their albums 'California Cursed' (2020) and 'Living Proof' (2023) pair thrash-metal riffing with an unusually joyful stage energy, making them one of modern hardcore's biggest live draws. Frontman Ciaramitaro's habit of diving into the crowd mid-song, microphone in hand, has become one of hardcore's defining live images.
