E

Biography

E was the first recording name of Mark Oliver Everett, later of *Eels*. His solo albums 'A Man Called E' (1992) and 'Broken Toy Shop' (1993) on #Polydor Records# introduced his wry, bruised songwriting before he formed Eels and broke through with 'Beautiful Freak' (1996). The records were reissued as his reputation grew, and they remain an essential prologue to the Eels story.
