Italian singer-songwriter born July 23, 1946 in Naples, and a founding figure of Italian rock. Edoardo Bennato mixes blues, folk and rock and roll with ironic, anti-authoritarian lyrics, performing with guitar, harmonica and kazoo. His landmark albums include 'Burattino senza fili' (1977) and 'Sono solo canzonette' (1980); in 1980 he was the first Italian artist to sell out Milan's San Siro stadium.
