Biography
Eider Stellaire were a French zeuhl band formed in 1980 by drummer Michel Le Bars with bassist Patrick Singery and guitarist Jean-Claude Delachat. Following *Magma*, they recast zeuhl as dense, largely instrumental jazz-rock. Their privately pressed debut album of 1981 is a genre landmark, followed by 'II' in 1986 and the instrumental 'III' in 1987. The debut stayed out of print for decades before a #Soleil Zeuhl# reissue in 2011.
