Biography
English duo of Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr, formed in Manchester in 1989 between their work with *New Order* and *The Smiths*. Electronic's million-selling debut paired dance production with guitar pop; 'Raise the Pressure' and 'Twisted Tenderness' followed before the project ended in 1999. Tennant, Lowe and Bartos collaborated with the duo but were never members. The duo's work was collected on the 2006 compilation 'Get the Message'.
