Biography
Exodus, formed in 1979 in Richmond, California, is a defining Bay Area thrash metal band built around guitarist Gary Holt and drummer Tom Hunting. Its delayed debut 'Bonded by Blood' (1985) is a genre classic. Fronted in turn by Paul Baloff, Steve Souza and Rob Dukes, the band moved from underground influence to major-label tours, survived two hiatuses and member deaths, and returned with a run of aggressive modern albums including 'Blood In, Blood Out' (2014) and 'Persona Non Grata' (2021).
