Biography
Fermáta are a Bratislava jazz rock institution, led since their formation by guitarist František Griglák, once of *Collegium Musicum*. Formed with keyboard player Tomáš Berka, they debuted on #Opus# in 1975 and made their landmark album 'Huascaran' in 1978. Their instrumental fusion, coloured by Slovak folk themes, filled a run of albums into the 1980s, and Griglák has revived the band repeatedly since, most recently for 'Blumental Blues' (2019).
