Los Angeles hip hop group formed in 1991 at the Good Life Cafe by Aceyalone, Myka 9, P.E.A.C.E. and Self Jupiter. Freestyle Fellowship pioneered a jazz inflected, freestyle based style of West Coast underground rap on 'To Whom It May Concern...' and the landmark 'Innercity Griots' from 1993. The group later reunited for 'Temptations' in 2001 and 'The Promise' in 2011.
