Biography
Gipsy Kings is a French rumba flamenca group from Arles and Montpellier, formed by the Reyes and Baliardo families, descendants of Spanish Romani refugees. Led by singer Nicolas Reyes and lead guitarist Tonino Baliardo, the family ensemble fused flamenco guitar with Latin rumba and pop, breaking through worldwide with the album 'Gipsy Kings' and its hit 'Bamboleo' on #Elektra#. Follow ups including 'Mosaique' and 'Este Mundo' made them the most successful flamenco act in the world, and family led touring factions have kept the name active ever since.
