Biography
Girls was the San Francisco duo of Christopher Owens and Chet 'JR' White, formed in 2007. Their heartfelt, vintage-steeped indie rock produced the acclaimed 'Album' (2009), the EP 'Broken Dreams Club' (2010) and the expansive 'Father, Son, Holy Ghost' (2011), before Owens left in July 2012 to record solo, dissolving the band after only five years. The duo's two albums remain touchstones of late-2000s American indie pop.
