Gordon Downie

Biography

Gordon Downie, widely known as Gord Downie, was the singer and lyricist of *The Tragically Hip* and one of Canada's most beloved musicians. His solo albums, from 'Coke Machine Glow' to the posthumous 'Introduce Yerself' and 'Away Is Mine', showed a quieter, more experimental songwriter than the arena frontman, and his 'Secret Path' project turned his final years toward Indigenous advocacy and reconciliation.
