Gorky's Zygotic Mynci were a Welsh psychedelic folk band formed in Carmarthen in 1991 by Euros Childs, John Lawrence and Richard James, school friends who sang in Welsh and English. With Megan Childs on violin and drummer Euros Rowlands, the band moved from the Welsh label #Ankst#, where they released 'Tatay' and 'Bwyd Time', to #Fontana# for 'Barafundle' in 1997. Their later, folkier albums included 'Spanish Dance Troupe' in 1999 and 'Sleep/Holiday' in 2003. The band split in May 2006.
