Biography
Stockholm trio Grand Magus have championed traditional heavy metal since 1996, led throughout by singer guitarist Janne 'JB' Christoffersson and bassist Mats 'Fox' Skinner. Early albums on #Rise Above Records# shifted from stoner doom toward the epic classic metal of 'Iron Will' and 'Hammer of the North'. With drummer Ludwig Witt aboard from 'The Hunt' onward, the band delivered 'Triumph and Power', 'Sword Songs', 'Wolf God' and 'Sunraven' for #Nuclear Blast Records#, a run of concise, anthemic records steeped in Norse myth and old school steel.
