Biography
Grin was a Washington, D.C. rock band led by guitarist and songwriter Nils Lofgren, formed in 1968 with bassist Bob Gordon and drummer Bob Berberich. Produced by David Briggs and championed by *Neil Young*, they released 'Grin' (1971), '1 + 1' (1972), 'All Out' (1973) and 'Gone Crazy' (1973), blending folk, country rock and guitar driven pop. Critically praised but poor selling, Grin disbanded in 1974 as Lofgren began the solo career that later took him to the *E Street Band*.
