Crazy Horse is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1969 from *The Rockets* and best known as *Neil Young*'s longest-running backing band, co-credited on albums from 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere' to 'Barn'. Bassist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina are the only constants; Danny Whitten defined the first line-up before his death in 1972, and Frank Sampedro anchored the classic era from 1975. The band has also released six studio albums of its own, beginning with 'Crazy Horse' in 1971.
