Biography
Hassisen Kone was a Finnish new wave and rock band from Joensuu, active from 1979 to 1982 and led by singer-songwriter Ismo Alanko. Winners of the 1980 Finnish rock championship, they released three hit albums on #Poko Records#, moving from punk-influenced new wave toward progressive rock, before splitting in 1982. Alanko went on to *Sielun Veljet* and a major solo career, and the original band has reunited for occasional concerts since 2000.
