Biography
Hefner was a British indie rock band formed in London in 1996 around Darren Hayman's literate, lovelorn songwriting. Their albums 'Breaking God's Heart' (1998), 'The Fidelity Wars' (1999) and 'We Love the City' (2000) made them cult favourites before they split in 2002. Hayman's subsequent solo work has kept the band's small, devoted catalogue steadily in print and in critical favour.
