Biography
Hellhammer was a Swiss band from Zurich, active from 1982 to 1984 and led by Tom G. Warrior with Martin Eric Ain and Bruce Day in its final line-up. The group released only demos and the 1984 EP 'Apocalyptic Raids' on #Noise Records#, then split, with Warrior and Ain forming *Celtic Frost*. Its primitive, harsh recordings, later gathered on 'Demon Entrails', became a key early influence on black metal and death metal despite the band's brief life.
