Biography
Hooverphonic are a Belgian electronic band from Sint-Niklaas, formed in 1995 around bassist Alex Callier and guitarist Raymond Geerts. Trip hop beginnings on 'A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular' gave way to orchestral pop on 'The Magnificent Tree' and 'Hooverphonic Presents Jackie Cane', sung by Geike Arnaert. Later singers were Noémie Wolfs and Luka Cruysberghs before Arnaert returned in 2020 for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Arnaert and Geerts departed in 2026 and Wolfs returned, leaving Callier as the founding member in the current duo.
