Ictus

Biography

Ictus was a band from Galicia, Spain, active from 2005 to 2007, whose music combined melodic death metal, sludge and crust punk with post-rock passages. After the EP 'Hambrientos de un Sol Distinto' (2005) and two split releases in 2006, they made their only full-length album, 'Imperivm' (2007), a single 39-minute song in Spanish about empire and American power. The band ended in 2007 after a grave road accident near Minsk in Belarus. This is the Spanish group, not the Belgian contemporary music group *Ensemble Ictus*.
