Biography

Illusion of Safety is the Chicago experimental project of Dan Burke, active since 1983. Across more than forty releases Burke and collaborators such as *Jim O'Rourke* have traversed industrial collage, electroacoustic improvisation, dark ambient and drone, on albums including 'More Violence and Geography' and 'Inside Agitator'. Burke is the project's only constant member, and it is filed here as his solo project rather than a band.
