Biography
Controlled Bleeding is an American experimental group formed in Massapequa, New York, in 1978 and led throughout its history by multi-instrumentalist Paul Lemos. From the brutal metal-percussion noise of 'Knees and Bones' through industrial dance records for #Wax Trax! Records# to later ambient, dub and dark-folk experiments, the project has remained a restless, shape-shifting force in underground music for over four decades.
