Biography
Intersystems was a Toronto multimedia collective formed in 1967 by John Mills-Cockell, Blake Parker, Michael Hayden and Dik Zander. Their presentations fused Mills-Cockell's pioneering modular synthesizer work with Parker's spoken word, Hayden's light sculpture and Zander's architectural structures. The group released three albums, 'Number One' in 1967 and 'Peachy' and 'Free Psychedelic Poster Inside' in 1968, before splitting that year. Long sought after by collectors, the albums were reissued by #Alga Marghen# in 2015, and Hayden and Mills-Cockell returned as a duo for a fourth album, '#4', in 2021.
