Biography
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts is the American rock band Joan Jett formed in Los Angeles in 1979 with producer Kenny Laguna, the group's two constant figures through decades of line-up changes. Their 1981 album 'I Love Rock 'n Roll' and its number one title track made them stars, and hits such as 'Bad Reputation', 'Crimson and Clover' and 'I Hate Myself for Loving You' kept them on radio through the 1980s. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, the band still tours and records, most recently with 'Changeup' (2022).
