Biography
Joan of Arc was a Chicago indie rock band active from 1995 to 2020, formed after the breakup of *Cap'n Jazz* and centred on singer and guitarist Tim Kinsella, its only permanent member. Across more than twenty albums the group moved between emo, post-rock, electronics and high concept experiment, from 'How Memory Works' and 'The Gap' to late work on #Joyful Noise Recordings#. The band ended with a deliberately final album, 'Tim Melina Theo Bobby', in December 2020.
