Biography
Joe Casey is an American musician, best known as the frontman and lyricist for the Detroit-based post-punk band Protomartyr. Noted for his distinctive, half-spoken vocal delivery and intellectually dense, often sardonic lyrics, Casey is a central figure in the band's acclaimed sound. He formed Protomartyr in 2010 with guitarist *Greg Ahee*, and they have since released a series of critically lauded albums on labels like #Hardly Art# and #Domino#. Albums such as 'The Agent Intellect' and 'Relatives in Descent' showcase his talent for weaving together philosophical musings, political commentary, and vignettes of modern decay with the band's urgent, dynamic instrumentation.
