Biography
Kandahar was a Belgian jazz-rock band of the 1970s, centred on keyboardist Karel Bogard and guitarist Jeff De Visscher, with Jacky Eddyn on saxophone and flute, Jean-Pierre Claeys on bass and Etienne Delaruye on drums. Their playful, virtuosic fusion of jazz, symphonic rock and funk produced 'Long Live the Sliced Ham' in 1974 and 'In the Court of Catherina Squeezer' in 1975 for #Dwarf#, followed by 'Pictures From the Past' in 1979. The albums are now prized artefacts of Belgian progressive rock.
