Keith Richards

Biography

Keith Richards is an English guitarist, songwriter and secondary vocalist, best known as a founding member of *The Rolling Stones*. Born in Dartford, Kent, he formed one of rock's most successful songwriting partnerships with *Mick Jagger* and built a signature style from blues roots, interlocking rhythm parts and open G five-string tuning. Beyond the Stones, Richards played in the 1979 touring band *The New Barbarians* and fronted The X-Pensive Winos on his solo albums 'Talk Is Cheap' and 'Main Offender', returning with 'Crosseyed Heart' in 2015. His groove-first approach made him a template for generations of rock guitarists.
