Biography
Kurt Vile & The Violators is the full-band iteration of Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Kurt Vile. The group is central to Vile's studio and live output, translating his hazy, lo-fi rock into a dynamic live experience drawing from psychedelic and classic rock. The lineup has evolved but has been anchored by multi-instrumentalist *Jesse Trbovich* since its inception. Their first full collaboration, 'Childish Prodigy', was released on #Matador# in 2009, establishing the project's signature sound. Subsequent albums like 'Wakin on a Pretty Daze' and '(watch my moves)' have solidified their reputation for sprawling, guitar-driven rock that is both intricate and nonchalant, deeply intertwined with Vile's solo identity.
