Biography
L'Infonie was a Canadian avant-garde ensemble from Montreal, active from 1967 to 1974 under composers Walter Boudreau and Ra么ul Duguay. The large, shifting collective blended free improvisation, jazz, classical music, rock and poetry, performing in togas and triangular hats. Its albums, from the 1969 debut on #Polydor# to 'Volume 333' (1972), became collector's items and helped shape Quebec's progressive and experimental music.
