Biography
Leb i sol is a Macedonian band formed in Skopje in 1976 by Vlatko Stefanovski, Bodan Arsovski, Nikola Kokan Dimu拧evski and Garabet Tavitjan. A leading act of the former Yugoslav rock scene, it mixed jazz-rock, progressive rock and Macedonian folk rhythms and scales across albums such as 'Leb i sol', 'Leb i sol 2', 'Ru膷ni rad' and 'Kao kakao'. Arsovski, the only member to play on every record, still leads the band, which reunited in 2006 and released 'I taka nataka' in 2008. Its name, bread and salt, invokes the traditional Balkan greeting for honoured guests.
