Liars

Liars are an experimental rock band known for their constant sonic reinvention. Formed in 2000, the group initially gained attention within the New York dance-punk scene with their debut album, 'They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top'. However, they quickly shed that label, embarking on a career defined by dramatic stylistic shifts. From the witch-trial-themed noise of 'They Were Wrong, So We Drowned' to the percussive explorations of 'Drum's Not Dead' and the electronic textures of 'WIXIW', Liars have consistently challenged their audience. Now effectively the solo project of founding member Angus Andrew, the band continues to release challenging and acclaimed music on the #Mute# label.
