Biography
Lole y Manuel was a flamenco duo formed in 1972 by singer Dolores Montoya RodrÃguez (Lole) and guitarist Manuel Molina Jiménez, a married couple from Romani flamenco families. Their debut 'Nuevo DÃa' (1975), produced by *Ricardo Pachón*, mixed flamenco with mellotron, poetry and rock influences and made them pioneers of nuevo flamenco. Further albums include 'Pasaje del agua' (1976), 'Al alba con alegrÃa' (1980) and 'Casta' (1984). Molina died in 2015.
