Biography

Long Fin Killie were a Scottish post-rock band from Glasgow, active from 1993 to 1998. Led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Luke Sutherland, with Colin Greig, David Turner and Philip Cameron, the band released the #Too Pure# albums 'Houdini', 'Valentino' and 'Amelia', named after Houdini, Rudolph Valentino and Amelia Earhart. Their intricate music combined bowed strings, repetitive rhythms and Sutherland's literate lyrics. The band split in 1998, after Kenny McEwan replaced Turner on drums for the final album.
