Loraine James

Loraine James is a British electronic music producer from North London known for her experimental and genre-blending sound. Raised in Enfield, her work merges disparate influences like IDM, drill, R&B, and jazz into a unique sonic tapestry. After self-releasing music, she signed to #Hyperdub#, gaining widespread critical acclaim for her 2019 album 'For You and I', which topped year-end lists. Her music is often described as an honest and vulnerable expression of her identity as a queer Black woman. She also records more ambient-focused material under the alias *Whatever the Weather* for the #Ghostly International# label.
