Luciano Cilio

Biography

Italian composer from Naples whose single album 'Dialoghi del presente' (1977) is a hushed minimalist suite of four movements and an interlude for chamber ensemble, guitar and piano. He died by his own hand in Milan in 1983, aged 33; the expanded reissue 'Dell'Universo Assente' (2004), on the label #Die Schachtel#, restored his singular music to circulation and to a growing cult audience.
