Biography
Lullaby for the Working Class was an indie folk band from Lincoln, Nebraska, active from 1994 to 1999. Led by Ted Stevens with Mike Mogis, A.J. Mogis and Shane Aspegren, the group layered strings, banjo, mandolin and glockenspiel over slow, melancholy folk songs. Their three albums for #Bar/None Records#, 'Blanket Warm', 'I Never Even Asked for Light' and 'Song', made them quiet precursors of the Omaha scene that produced *Bright Eyes* and *Cursive*.
