Biography
Madrugada is a Norwegian alternative rock band from Stokmarknes, formed in 1993 around vocalist Sivert Høyem, guitarist Robert Burås and bassist Frode Jacobsen. Their blues-tinged, melancholic rock brought major Norwegian success with 'Industrial Silence' (1999) and 'The Nightly Disease' (2001), and a run of Spellemann awards. Burås died in 2007, and the band split in 2008 after a self-titled album. Høyem, Jacobsen and original drummer Jon Lauvland Pettersen reunited in 2018 and returned with 'Chimes at Midnight' (2022).
