Biography
Manitoba was the first stage name of Canadian musician Dan Snaith, born 29 March 1978 in Dundas, Ontario. Between 2000 and 2004 he released the acclaimed electronic albums 'Start Breaking My Heart' and 'Up in Flames' under the name, blending samples, live instruments and psychedelic pop. A trademark threat from *Richard Manitoba* forced the change, and Snaith reissued the Manitoba albums under his new name and continued the project from 2005.
